Meet the team

New Wave Physio was founded in December 2010.Recently, it has been acquired by Natalie Bruce, who served as the lead clinical physiotherapist for the past 3 years.

Natalie, who moved to England from sunny South Africa in February 2020, found her passion for physiotherapy after a knee ligament injury at the age of 13. With 14 years of experience, she has worked across various physiotherapy sectors, including hospitals, orthopedics, pediatrics, and neuro physio. However, her heart lies in musculoskeletal injuries and chronic pain conditions.

Natalie had her own private clinic in South Africa prior to emigrating so when she was presented with the opportunity to buy the practice , she embraced the chance to run her own clinic.

Since 2020, Natalie has been an integral part of New Wave, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and skills. Her commitment to continuous learning is apparent through her completion of extensive postgraduate courses in Dry Needling, Strapping, Chronic Pain Management, Aquatic Therapy, and Neurological Developmental Therapy. She is also a APPI-trained Pilates instructor.

Natalie’s professional philosophy centers around a holistic approach to physiotherapy. She firmly believes that treating pain and dysfunction requires more than just hands-on intervention. Education and patient empowerment play pivotal roles, forming a comprehensive strategy aimed at helping individuals achieve their health and wellness goals. Natalie’s dedication to multifaceted care underscores her commitment to enhancing the lives of those she serves.

Outside of her clinical work from Tuesday to Friday, Natalie, a wife and mother of two energetic boys, dedicates time to Pilates classes on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.
